My name is Charles Hunter Joplin and I am a Master's student in literature at The University of Southern Mississippi. I teach English Composition at the university and I am a tutor in the campus' Writing Center. My research interests include 20th Century British poetry, World War I, Textual Criticism, and Ecocriticism. I have published in Explicator, presented at the PCA/ACA National Conference, and I am working on an article-length manuscript that investigates the intersection of craft and authorship in Wilfred Owen's poetry. This website contains my Curriculum Vitae, my syllabus, schedule, and assignments for ENG 102 (Spring 2016), my teaching philosophy, and my contact details.

Welcome!

"Lord, grant that my work will increase knowledge and help other men.

Failing that, Lord, grant that it will not lead to man's destruction.

Failing that, Lord, grant that my article (will) be published

before the destruction takes place."

- Walker Percy, Love in the Ruins
